My favorite builds so far have been collaborations with the puppeteer. These are examples of the source drawing or photo I was given, and the final puppet creation. You don’t have to draw well for me to design you a puppet—it is more important to describe their character well.
A professional quality puppet, such as those below, takes many hours of diverse handwork skills–designing, patterning, draping, glueing, sewing, painting, etc. The materials aren’t cheap, and neither is my time. Custom puppets aren’t for everyone, and that’s okay. Etsy and Ebay offer many beginner and affordable puppets, or my Resources page has links so that you could learn to build yourself!
